INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT
|
| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
• Provide technical expertise, including preparation of ToR (Term of Reference), to the development of Project Management Information System, Training Management Information System, Learning Management Information system and other MISs developed by the project and implementing agencies;
• Support the implementation of Institutional Development grant (IDG) activities related to information systems and connectivity;
• Examine the Existing MIS thoroughly in association with the PMU Specialists and identify areas for improvement, including the development of new modules;
• Suggest modules to capture physical progress/achievement of schemes.
• Assist DTE to establish a functional MIS Cell to implement the comprehensive MIS tasks under the project and it's beyond; Incorporate geo-tagging and GIS system in the MIS.
• Maintain the operational aspects of a web application, integrity of the records in the database, and ensure its availability to users;

| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |
: |
• A Master’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering/MIS/ IT or any other related discipline from a recognized university;
• At least 12 ( twelve) years of working experience in managing large scale MIS and database management of the web-based applications;
• Working-level knowledge of standard Operating Systems, Objective Oriented Programing, language, Database (MS SQL Server, Oracle), Crystal Report and other development tools;
• Knowledge and certification on GIS (Geographic Information Systems, such as ArcGIS, QGIS) would be given preference;
• Similar nature of assignment in donor-funded projects (e.g., World Bank, ADB, JICA, OCEF, Danida etc.) will be given preference;
• A certificate in MIS from a reputable foreign institution will be accorded due weight-age. |
