Title : 64 govt officers get orientation on e-GP at CPTU
Description : As many as 64 officers of various government, semi-government and autonomous bodies got orientation on role of IME Division, CPTU, e-GP and e-tendering process at the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) on March 20, 2017. The officers were given the half-day orientation as part of their three-week training on public procurement management being conducted by National Academy for Planning and Development (NAPD). The NAPD three-week training began on March 5, 2017 and set to end on March 23, 2017. The NAPD arranged the e-GP orientation facilitated by CPTU at its conference room. Secretary in-Charge of IME Division Md Mofizul Islam opened the orientation. He also spoke about IMED role and activities. The Secretary stressed the importance of knowing the e-tendering process and sincerity of the government to bring all public procurement under e-GP system. Md. Helal Uddin, Director (Coordination) of CPTU, moderated the orientation. He welcomed the participants of the training course to CPTU and spoke about CPTU role and activities. Director General of Prime Minister’s Office Md. Khalilur Rahman, Director (Training) of NAPD Dr Md. Nuruzzaman and some other officials of IMED and CPTU were also present. Md. Mosharraf Hossain, System Analyst, Ashfakul Islam, Senior e-GP Consultant and Nazmul Islam Bhuiyan, Deputy Team Leader, e-GP Operation and Maintenance team, made presentations on e-GP system. Participants also raised questions about e-GP process. They gave answers and clarifications.
