Title : Dialogue between procuring entities and tenderers in districts begins
Description : August 11, 2015 Dialogue about various issues of public procurement between procuring entities and tenderers at the district level began on August 11, 2015. On the day the dialogue was held at Jamalpur. The Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) under Public Procurement Reform Project-II supported by the World Bank is facilitating such dialogues in cooperation with Bangladesh Centre for Communication Programmes (BCCP). Three such dialogues were held in Jamalpur, Sherpur and Tangail districts on August 11, 12 and 13, 2015 respectively. The Government-Tenderers Forum (Kroi Sanglap Forum) was also formed in each of the districts. The forum will be formed in all 64 districts followed by conduct of periodic dialogues aimed at removing confusions and contradictions that may arise in the process of public procurement among procuring entities and tenderers. Representatives of procuring entities and tenderers at the district level sit face-to-face, raise relevant issues of public procurement and discuss to settle those.
