Training on Procurement Management (Goods, Works and Services): As a continuation of the training program 5 (five) three week training courses are to be covering from all procuring agencies of various sectors. Out of 5 (five) courses 3 (three) courses will be full residential at ESCB main campus, Gozaria, Munshigonj and 2 (two) courses will be conducted at ESCB City Campus at IEB, Ramna, Dhaka. Focus of this training for procurement of goods, works, and consultants’ services will continue to be on compliance of the PPA and PPR including basic understanding of procurement core competence skills of procurement planning, tender document preparation, whole procurement processes and contract management including other related issues in public procurement. It will be a three-week residential course, with the participants from the 32 targeted agencies under DIMAPPP along with other organizations those are practicing public procurement. The course is mainly compliance focused, with some basics of competence skills.
Existing three-week training module for procurement of goods/works/services will be used with same format after obtaining a few revision/correction/ adjustment in line with the recent amendment in PPA-2006 and PPR-2008. It is estimated that there will be 5 (five) batches run by ESCB. Number of batches may be changed from contract depending on sufficient budget allocation. Capacity of each batches will be maximum 30 (thirty) participants. At the beginning, ESCB will conduct an evaluation mechanism, so that it can compare the learning depth when talking exam at the end of the courses.
