| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The overall objective of the assignment is to support the Project Management Unit (PMU) in the LGED to implement the ADB-funded Coastal Towns Climate Resilience Project (CTCRP). It includes (i) supporting the PMU in achieving project goals by improving governance, risk management, and internal controls by ensuring compliance with international standards; (ii) achieving compliance for the Improving Urban Governance and Infrastructure Program and collaborating with LGED’s Head of Internal Audit; (iii) submit audit plans and annual reports to LGED’s Internal Audit Cell and ADB, addressing fiduciary and governance concerns; (iv) validate financial statements and strengthen PMU’s and PIU’s financial and procurement systems, recommending improvements; (v) conduct post-procurement reviews, ensuring compliance with GOB, ADB, and Public Procurement Rules; (vi) promote transparency, economy, and efficiency, preventing fraud or corruption; (vii) verify the existence and proper usage of project assets etc. LGED invites eligible consulting firm(s) with adequate experience in internal auditing. The assignment location will be in selected 22 Pourashavas in coastal areas along with PMU of CTCRP, LGED. |
