INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
a. Under the overall Supervision of Project Director (PD), the expert will work in collaboration with project manager, commanding officers (CO), project supervision officers and other stakeholders. The duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:
• Assist in implementation of project work as per DPP
• Provide specialized technical assistance and guidance in implementation of the project and supervise/monitor the activities during implementation
• Prepare technical specifications for the procurement of livestock inputs and plan the quantities of inputs to be procured under the project
• Provide technical support in response to the priority needs
• Assist in the preparation of various reports and returns of the project as per DPP
• Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the PD" |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |
: |
1. Educational Qualification: Bachelor/Master's degree in Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry with specialization or experience required for the position. 2. Technical and Functional Experience: a. A minimum of 10 years practical experience in the field of animal health comprising, if possible, both technical research, writing of policy reports and support to multilateral of regional processes.
b. Candidate having 15 (fifteen) years’ experiences in relevant fields will get preference.
c. Extensive knowledge and experience of working with national and international animal health agencies.
d. Proven experience in capacity building and supporting the implementation of dairy farms project, including the mentoring of project implementation staff. |
