| Brief Description of Assignment |

To assist MSU for capacity development of Pourashava and City Corporation officials and relevant stakeholders to better handle, manage and implement their financial management related functions. |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |
: |
Municipal Finance Specialist must have a Master Degree in Accounting/Finance & Banking/MBA (Major in finance) degree from a recognized university. Membership in a professional accounting institution will be an added advantage. S/he should have 15 years working experience in the field of public finance, of which 10 years of experience of working with Pourashava and City Corporation in the area of municipal financial management. Prior experience related to local government capacity building and training will be advantageous. The candidate should be familiar with the Local Government (Paurashava/City Corporation) Act and other legislation, procedures and practices related to municipal finance. S/he should be able to work effectively as part of a team of experts for the effective delivery of a multi-year training program which will cover different size and class of Pourashavas and City Corporations. |
