INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |

BGFCL is the largest national gas production company in Bangladesh. BGFCL intends to carry out 1450 square kilometer 3D seismic survey at Habiganj, Bakhrabad & Meghna gas fields and adjacent area in order to assess the remaining petroleum potential as well as new prospect identification with in the survey area.
BGFCL shall appoint the Bangladeshi Individual Consultants in order to provide the consultancy services for 3D seismic survey project (as stated above). During the implementation of this project, two categories of Local Consultants (3D design and Quality Control Expert & 3D interpretation Expert) shall be engaged on behalf of BGFCL in order to monitor and supervise the project activities and to deliver the appropriate suggestions and recommendations for the improvement of the related services and reports.
Engaging national seismic service provider (BAPEX), the BGFCL will execute the acquisition, processing & interpretation of 3D seismic data using state-of-the-art technology for Habiganj Gas Field (305) & adjacent relinquished area (570 sq. Km) and Bakhrabad & Meghna gas fields (575 sq. km). Basin modeling, static modeling & dynamic modeling will also be conducted. The Seismic Service Provider shall, with their own personnel and equipment, delineate different hydrocarbon reservoirs and identify structural and stratigraphic prospects in the area. The emphasis would be given for getting clear and reliable seismic image for the deep petroleum resources upto eight kilometers below the surface. The planned local consultancy service is estimated 11 Man-month (3D Design and Quality Control Expert : 6 man-months & 3D Interpretation Expert: 5 man-months). An individual Consultant shall not submit EOI more than one category.
The scope of the consultancy services includes but not limited to the following:
• 3D Design and Quality Control Expert: 6 man-months
- Setting up acquisition parameter.
- Seismic line design using Geoland 5.0, OMNI, MESA etc. or other renowned industry standard software to get the desired fold coverage. Preparation of SPS files, shooting order and pickup plan for data recording.
- QC of daily shot records and performance of acquisition instrument.
- Detection of noisy traces, dead traces, reverses polarity and other ambiguities, if present in the SEGD and marks them.
- Process field data up to Brute stack.
- Monitor project activities (Scouting, surveying, shooting, processing, meeting, presentations etc.)
- Monitor, discuss and review the related execution plans and reports of the service provider.
- Provide necessary related suggestions for improving the execution of the project.
3D Interpretation Expert: 5 man months
- 3D Seismic Data Interpretation, Advanced Seismic Interpretation, Sequence Stratigraphy & Geological Study, Prospect Identification, Evaluation & Ranking including attribute analysis using Petrel, Decision Space, Hampson Russel, Techlog etc. renowned industry standard software.
- Interpretation of processed section.
- 3D structural mapping in time and depth
- Attribute analysis, AVO, visualization etc.
- Well tie with seismic section
- G & G Integration
- Prospect identification , Prospect evaluation, Prospect Ranking and Well Planning
- Monitor project activities (interpretation, meeting, presentations etc.)
- Monitor, discuss and review the related execution plans and reports of the service provider.
- Provide necessary related suggestions for improving the execution of the project. |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

The Local Consultant should be specialized in high resolution 3D seismic design, data acquisition and imaging to establish subsurface geological model and reservoir engineering model for hydrocarbon exploration and production in oil and gas sector. The required experience and qualification (but not limited to) of the local Consultants are as follows:
3D Design and Quality Control Expert
- Shall have minimum Bachelor degree in Geophysics/Geology/ Physics/Applied Physics
- Shall have at least 10 years of working experience in 3D land seismic Design & QC using Geoland 5.0, OMNI, MESA etc, or other renowned industry standard software.
3D Interpretation Expert
- Shall have minimum Bachelor degree in Geophysics/ Geology.
- Shall have at least 10 years of working experience in 3D land seismic interpretation using Petrel, Decision Space, Hampson Russel, Techlog etc. or other renowned industry standard software.
The seismic experiences (3D & 2D) should be mentioned separately. The Bangladeshi individual consultants are eligible to submit EOI. The interested individual Consultant(s) shall submit the hard copies of the EOI (3 copies: 1 original and 2 copies) on any working day (Sunday to Thursday) between 09:00 and 17:00 hrs BST to the address below before the EOI closing time with the following information and documents indicating their eligibility:
• Curriculum Vitae (following the format which is available in www.bgfcl.org.bd) of relevant Consultant
• Educational qualification
• Experiences (seismic acquisition, field processing, seismic interpretation etc.) of the Consultant
• Mention major industry software and equipment used by the Consultant.
• Documents in favor of education and experience
• Expected remuneration and benefit (in BD TK) per month
However the interested Consultants may also submit PDF copy (with signature) of the EOIs to pd3d@bgfcl.org.bd and pd3d.bgfcl@gmail.com before the EOI closing time and it will be considered for evaluation. |

The EOIs will be opened in presence of the participating individuals, if any, on 09-01-2024 at 11:30hrs (BST). In case of any unavoidable circumstances such as strike, civil commotion, natural calamity, govt. declared holiday etc EOls will be received and opened on the following working day. Upon receipt of EOls, the interested Consultants that are deemed best suited to perform the assignment will be short-listed. The shortlisted Applicants may be invited for interviews and the selected Applicants will then be invited to negotiate fees or remuneration, reimbursable, the inputs available from the procuring entity etc and subsequently to sign the Contract. This tender would be processed following the PPA-2006 & PPR-2008.
