INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
a) Review all project documents like super structural designs & drawings and Prepare Electrical designs & drawings cost estimates, Technical specification, Contract Agreements etc. and give specific comments to the Project Director and Design unit, LGED about Modification as necessary to improve sustainability of bridges.
b) Prepare detail Design & Drawing of electrical work of the bridges on the basis of existing power facilities at site upon providing necessary field visits to the selected bridge sites.
c) Prepare detail electrical layout plan and calculate total energy consumed of the bridge lighting.
d) Provide setting layout of electrification system of bridge work.
e) Review the existing all Electrical design of standard of LGED/RHD and develop suitable design for Bridge under Project Director as well as Team leader.
f) Prepare Electrical design, cost estimate and drawing for various project as requested by LGED.
g) Carry his/her assignment timely and provide sound and diligent service.
h) Carry out consultation with LGED officials and other stakeholders as identified by the Project Director/LGED and incorporated their suggestions into the electrical design and drawings. While doing so the consultant should consider the alternate option so that the requirements as well as cost could be optimized.
i) Provide data, drawings as well as necessary support to the structural engineer so that he/she could get all relevant information from them.
j) During construction period if any change in design become necessary the consultant shall review the necessary documents, visit the project site and finalize necessary amendments within a reasonable time.
k) Trainings all LGED officials and other stakeholders.
l) Brief the contractor about the Electrical drawings and respond to their all quarries.
m) Provide technical and relevant services to shift the existing electrical service line/ pole to construct the bridge and approach alignment of the site.
n) Check all variation claims, propose rates if necessary showing detailed breakdown of rates prior to execution of variation orders;
o) Hold meetings at the site office as necessary; prepare minutes of meeting and circulate to all concerned.
p) Keep records of all matters about contract administration, modifications and variations, including management meeting minutes for settlement of claims in future; review the As-Built Drawings as submitted by the contractor, suggest modification as necessary; ensure submission of an electronic version of the as-built drawing to PD for record.
q) The consultant shall advice the Project Director on contractual matters in settling contractor’s claims. He/she shall attend adjudication and arbitration sittings if necessary along with LGED representative in connection with the settlement of disputes.
r) Supervise the electrification work.
s) Supervise the works of Assistant Field Engineer and provide guidance to them as required.
t) Check measurements of constructed works submitted by the contractor and certify the same for payment.
u) Prepare monthly progress report (quarterly) for the project including completion report (approved format) at the closure of the project.
v) Provide technical support to Project director.
