| Brief Description of Assignment |

The People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a Credit from the International Development Association (IDA) – a member of the World Bank Group – for financing the cost of the Enhancing Digital Government and Economy (EDGE) Project, being implemented by the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC). BCC intends to apply part of the IDA Credit for procuring the services for consulting services under the project. The following consultant (national) will be recruited based on individual capacity: |

Project Accountant (Contract Package No. EDGE-IC24B):
? The candidate having minimum part professional qualified Accountant from a Well recognized professional institute (i.e. CA/CMA/ACCA) or The Candidate Must have MBA/ Masters in Finance/Accounting Degree from a well-recognized University. Reciprocal certification will not be considered as an educational qualification.
? 08 (Eight) years of working experience as Financial Management in the area of Government/ Semi-government organization/ International Development organization of which minimum 03 years of experience as FMS in World Bank and GoB -financed project, which fully conversant with large contract payment, GOB budget, fund release and reporting formalities, knowledge regarding rules and regulations for budgeting, accounting, financial reporting and auditing of World Bank’s fund operating conditions & reporting requirements. Is fully conversant with Computerized Accounting System and has the ability to assist in implementation and customization; Skills in software installation and troubleshooting will be added advantages.
? Strong interpersonal communication skills, experience in team leadership and participatory management.
Accounts Associate(Contract Package No: EDGE-IC30A):
? Will hold an appropriate bachelor’s degree or higher in the area of Accounting/Finance/Management as a minimum.
? S/he must have 03 (three) years of work experience in public sector financial management;
? The incumbent should have a good understanding of Govt. accounting system;
? Experience in IDA/ donor funded projects is preferable;
? Fully conversant with and have had hands on experience in application software and also in Computerized Accounting System.

Now, BCC, EDGE Project invites eligible applicants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Applicants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (complete CV with details as required). The consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in World Bank’s Procurement Regulation for IPF Borrowers (July 2016, Revised November 2017, August 2018, November 2020 and September 2023).
Interested applicants may obtain the Terms of Reference (TOR) from the office of the EDGE Project during office hours or download from the website www.bcc.gov.bd.
Expressions of Interest (EOI) must be submitted in written form in the address below (in person or by mail or by e-mail) by December 08, 2023 within 2.00 PM and be clearly marked “Expression of Interest for position of …………………..”. In Addition, the applicants are requested to submit a workable soft copy of the CV to facilitate the evaluation of received EOI.
