| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) functions as the regulatory body for all aviation related activities in Bangladesh. It is also the aeronautical service provider and is responsible for safe, expeditious and efficient flow of air traffic within the flight information Region (FIR) bounded by the international geographic boundary of Bangladesh. There are 8 (eight) operating Airports in the country and Cox’s Bazar Airport is one of them. Cox’s Bazar city is situated by the Bay of Bengal and is one of the most important tourism city in the country. Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh has taken a project in hand to upgrade the overall operational and passenger movement facilities of the said Airport. In this connection, CAAB has decided to engage a reputable International Consulting Firm to carry out the Engineering services as described in EOI application form. In order to prepare a short list of consulting firm interested reputable international consulting firms are invited to provide information in sealed envelope indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar operating conditions, availability of appropriate professional qualification and experience among technical staff etc.) |

i. Reputed international consulting Firms having 15(Fifteen) years’ experience in consultancy services. International consulting firms are encouraged to seek participation and obtain full range of expertise by associating with local consulting firm(s) or entities in a joint venture or sub-consultancy, as appropriate. ii. The international Consulting firm should have experience in successful completion of consultancy services for Engineering Design and supervision of International Passenger Terminal Building, Apron, Taxiway, Cargo Terminal, Control Tower, Central Air Conditioning System and all other Electro-Mechanical works, Security System and Communication Equipment, Re-fueling System etc. works in a single contract of at least one project costing (Construction Cost) minimum US$ 250.00 (Two hundred and fifty) million during last 10 (ten) years. iii. International Consulting Firm(s) as mentioned in (ii) above may form joint venture/association/consortium with a local firm. In that case, the local associate should have experience in successful completion of consultancy services for Engineering Design and supervision work of Pavement, Commercial/High rise building, Central Air-Conditioning and Electro-Mechanical Project costing Bangladesh Taka 2000 (Two thousand) million (construction cost) in any Govt./Semi-govt./Autonomous organization in a single contract during the last 10 (ten) years. iv. No. of firms in a JVCA including a local associate (if any) shall not be more than 3 (Three). The firm/firms intends to apply in a JVCA or alone shall not be under a declaration of ineligibility for corrupt, fraudulent, collusive or coercive practices. |
