ATN Bangla, a private satellite TV channel, broadcast a talk-show on public procurement on July 03, 2010 which was recorded on June 26, 2010.
The activities of CPTU and IMED, relevance of public procurement to Annual Development Program (ADP) implementation, Public Procurement Act and Rules and other relevant issues were highlighted in the 25-minute talk-show. Amulya Kumar Debnath, DG, CPTU and AKM Fazlul Karim, Procurement Reform Implementation Adviser, PPRP-II, took part in the talk show- hosted by Shafiul Alam.
Such talk show was organized as part of social awareness and communication activities under the component 4 of the PPRP-II supported by the World Bank.
Earlier Bangladesh television also aired similar type of talk shows to raise awareness about public procurement among the stakeholders and the public. |
