A four-member Bhutanese study team on electronic government procurement visited Bangladesh on Wednesday to take stock of reforms being implemented in public procurement.
Dhenden Dhondup, chief programme officer of the public procurement policy division under the finance ministry of Bhutan, led the delegation in its two-day visit.
The team visited the central procurement technical unit (CPTU) at the IME division of the planning ministry.
The team visited the Central e-GP Data Centre at the CPTU.
The CPTU officials and consultants made presentations on legal and security aspects of the e-GP system, procurement monitoring and information system, capacity development and social awareness.
The leader of the Bhutanese team said the country was thinking of introducing e-GP. Amulya Kumar Debnath, director general of CPTU, was also present. The Bhutanese team also visited Bangladesh Computer Council. |
