INFORMATION FOR TENDERER

| Eligibility of Tenderer : |

(i) The bidder shall have minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover of BDT1,642 Million (one thousand six hundred forty two million Bangladesh Taka) calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed within the last five (5) years.
(ii) Participation in at least one (1)contract that has been successfully or substantially completed within the last seven (7)years and that is similar to the proposed highway standard road and structure works, where the value of the Bidder’s participation exceeds BDT 985 Million (Nine hundred eighty five million Bangladesh Taka). The similarity of the Bidder’s participation shall be based on the physical size, nature of works, complexity, methods, technology or other characteristics as described in Section 6, Employer’s Requirements. The complete eligibility and qualification requirements are stipulated in Section 3: Evaluation and Qualification Criteria.
(iii) Required minimum amount of liquid assets of the bidder shall be BDT 274 Million (two hundred seventy four million Bangladesh Taka) |

-The People’s Republic of Bangladesh (the Recipient) has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of “Emergency Assistance Project” under the “Emergency Assistance Project”. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contracts named above. Bidding is open to qualified bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.
-The Roads and Highways Department (RHD), the Executing Agency under Road Transport and Highways Division, Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges (MRTB), invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Rehabilitation of National Highway from Link Road (Cox’s bazar) (Ch:381+494) to Ukhiya (Ch:406+494) including culverts and associated works related to widening of the Road on both sides (“the works”) which include, but is not limited to the following:
-Road pavement;
-Slope and Embankment Protection
-Culverts and drainage;
-Rigid Pavement in Bazar Portion
-Miscellaneous works items of Sign Signal, Guide Post, Road Marking etc.
-Completion time of the works from the commencement date is 540 days. |
