Bangladesh, a rapidly developing South Asian country, has made significant strides in socio-economic development, digital infrastructure, human capital nourishment, and governance. Despite facing challenges, Bangladesh has managed the COVID-19 pandemic and maintained positive economic growth, with a 34% growth in exports in 2021-22. The "Branding Bangladesh" initiative aims to promote and enhance Bangladesh's global brand, highlighting its rich cultural heritage, economic potentials, investment opportunities, and potential as a future supply chain hub. The branding strategy will focus on sectors like Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES), agricultural products, light engineering, leather goods, jute goods, and tourism, emphasizing Bangladesh's resilience and potential for success. The shortlisting criteria are:
The consulting firm must have at least five years of experience in preparing, developing, and facilitating national level strategies of a country and global management consulting. They must have completed at least five data-driven public relations/branding consultancy projects as a prime consulting firm, preferably in government or donor agencies. The firm must have the legal capacity to enter into the contract with a minimum of five years of general experience in providing research/study/consulting services. The firm must have successfully completed five researches/studies to the Government of Bangladesh, UN bodies, public universities, development partners, multinational companies, INGOs, and reputed research organizations in the related field. The firm must have a reputation of a national/international standing in the delivery of credible analytical reports, with a minimum of three years of experience. The firm must have an average annual turnover of at least Tk. 100 lac over the last three years, a capacity statement summarizing their facilities and area of expertise, and not be debarred by any government organization or development partner. The Development Effectiveness Wing of ERD now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.
Consultants are requested to submit the following supporting documents in support of the above-mentioned criteria: (i) Up to date relevant registration papers of the firm (s) (ii) JV agreement/letter of intent (if applicable) (iii) Firms brochure (iv) Audited financial reports for last three years (v) Service experience record of Last five (05) years (including nature, total cost of Contract, total input in terms of man month, employer, location of service etc.) (vi) Updated trade license (vii) Turnover of the consulting firm (viii) any other information necessary to substantiate the shortlisting criteria listed above and/or included in the TOR (Details are mentioned in the TOR) |
