Request for Expression of Interest for Individual Consultant (National): Value Chain Mapping Consultant - 01 Positions |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required: Advanced university degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Management, Agricultural Economics or any other related field. A minimum of 12 years of proven work experience related to value chain design, mapping and development. In-depth of understanding of value chain, agribusiness and climate smart agriculture is important. Ability to conduct independent studies and assessments. Relevant publications in the peer reviewed journals. Prior experience of working with donor-funded projects implemented by Government of Bangladesh, particularly through the national agricultural research or extension system, and international organization. Willingness to travel frequently across project geographies in Bangladesh. Ability and experience of working across line ministries and departments excellent communication, reporting and presentation skills in Bangla and English. |

The consultant will be based at the PMU (DAE Part) in Dhaka, Bangladesh and will report directly to the Deputy Project Director (DAE Part) and/or National Project Director. The Individual Consultant will work closely with other consultants working for BCRL project. The consultant is expected to undertake the activities (scope of services) mentioned in the TOR in order to achieve the stated objectives. Under this consultancy travels are being envisaged. However, travels necessary for the exigencies of services to achieve the desired objectives, may be undertaken but with prior permission of the DPD, DAE and in such cases only the actual costs will be reimbursement. The deliverables will be submitted in electronic and hardcopy form on time by the consultant to the DPD (DAE Part)/NPD, BCRL, Dhaka Bangladesh. |
