INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The consultancy services include (but not limited to) the following Major tasks (given additions and adjustments are made where necessary):
a) Feasibility study
b) Preliminary and detail drawing & design.
c) Full time supervision and monitoring of construction works for ensuring quality and progress till project completion.
• Preparation of route feasibility and preliminary design of 6-lane corridor alignment considering the traffic data collection including connecting roads for traffic signals & intersections, traffic flow for geometric design of roads & intersections, drainage system, utility shifting & lighting etc.
• Detailed design of 6-lane corridor alignment: in Beribadh road from Rayer Bazar sluice gate to Aminbazar bridge and Abdullahpur to Balu river including need assessment, selection of sites and outline design for one or more bus stoppages, road selection, roadway geometry, intersections, signals, Overpass or Underpass etc.
• Site investigation and data collection including video digital survey, pedestrian survey, traffic growth rate, traffic projection, calculation of design ESAL, land survey, land acquisition and resettlement survey, digital survey of right of way, plant locations, utility survey, structure survey, light & electric pole survey etc.
• Analysis connectivity of the feeder roads with proposed 6-lane and Proper documentation of field work such as site order book, keeping records etc.
• Preparation of as-built drawing including GIS based shape file with informative attribute table and project completion report along with all documents.

| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

The consulting firm shall have a general experience of at least 10 (Ten) years and practical experience with proven assignment record in similar type in Bangladesh or abroad. Similar assignments refer to the design and supervision of major primary roads. The EOI shall be evaluated on the basis of the following documents:
1. Registration of firm.
2. Age of the firm (years in relevant business).
3. Availability of the key professionals for conducting similar type of assignments.
4. Financial resources of the consulting firm (Turnover of last five years) supported by audit report for the last 3 (three) years.
5. Experience of the firm in similar task/assignments (example of past experience of similar nature and for complexity including cost and duration of the assignment).
6. Experience of the firm in other works (example of past experience of similar nature and for complexity including cost and duration of the assignment).
7. Support services of the firm (office space, supporting staff, and equipment).
8. Financial statement supported by audit report for the last 3 (three) years. |

a) Interested firm shall submit expression of interest (EOI) to the DNCC within the given time frame. The EoI’s will be evaluated according to the provisions of the PPR-2008 Guidelines.
b) In a case where more than one firm forming a consortium to enhance their qualifications, the lead firm should submit the EOI. They should outline the rationale for the proposed consortium, and described how the work will be coordinated; managed and quality control assured. They should have proven track records of management and financial solvency. |
