INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
Main Tasks: Responsible for analysis of depreciation system of Assets of SOEs/ ABs and preparing a manual for Accounting and Property Management (Depreciation
Manual).
Scope of Work:
? Review existing accounting system and recommend for improvement as per IAS;
? Assessment of assets and capital of SOEs and ABS including depreciation costs;
? Determine appropriate tools and techniques for depreciation of different Assets for SOEs and
ABS.
? Prepare the depreciation system of plant, property and equipment of SOEs/ABs, and preparing
manual for Accounting and Property Management (Depreciation Manual);
? Organize workshops for launching Depreciation manual; the workshops are organized in a
knowledge sharing format to provide an overview of the depreciation system of plant, property
and equipment of SOEs/ABs. The workshop creates opportunity for all related persons as well
as member of the selected SOEs to meet formally.
? The depreciation manual is to be tailored to the selected SOEs initially.
? The consultant will also participate in the on-site inspections; conduct in-depth interviews
with key stakeholders (including sample of customers);
? Using the research, analysis, document review and on-site inspection prepare the guideline
for all SOEs;
? The manual will recommend proper depreciation fund management system;
? Prepare by-weekly progress reports to be presented to the PIT;
? Any tasks assigned by the Program Implementation Team, PEC and NPD; and
? Submit monthly work plan before beginning of each month and work progress after
completion of every month. |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

? Professional Accountant (Chartered Accountant/Cost & Management Accountant)/Masters in
Accounting/Finance/Management/Financial Management/Business Administration
? Minimum 15 years of professional experience in general, non-profit, or government organization
in relevant field;
? Experience in relevant field will be preferred |
