| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
Study on Growth Center and Hat bazar that includes the following studies (1-9) covering following assignments (a-f). Study 1 & 2: Countrywide data compilation of growth centers and rural markets and prepare framework/methodology for prioritizing growth center for development with an objective to generate accelerated rural economic growth considering development requirement up to 2040. Study 3: Study for feasibility of adopting public-private-partnership (PPP) for land-pooling for rural markets to avoid land acquisition. Study 4: Study on construction and management of agricultural product collection center at selected Upazila (Four real case studies). Study 5: Study on construction and management of special bazar for seasonal fruits and vegetables (such as mango, water-melon etc.) Study 6 & 7: Feasibility study on agricultural product value chain, market infrastructure including cold storage for improvement of product value chain. Study 8: Select growth-center for capacity extension with infrastructure, water supply and waste management. Study 9: Select urban centers for future township development along important economic corridors. Assignments in brief:- a) Compiling Data: Compilation of relevant socio-economic, geographical data of rural growth center/hat bazars, proposed agricultural product collection centers/special markets and conduct stakeholder consultation as required. b) Prioritization & Mapping: Develop prioritization methodology for selection development priority of existing GC/hat bazars, prepare location map and compile attribute data for growth centers, develop a potential list of new growth centers. Also identify core supply chain network in maps. c) Study report: Preparation of study report on growth center and urban center selection for capacity development township development along the economic corridors, agricultural value chain development and required infrastructure for value chain etc. d) Case Study: Conduct case studies on agricultural produce collection center, value chain development, public-private partnership (for land-pooling at rural markets) and cold storage as listed. e) Design: Architectural design of collection centers and cold storages that includes appropriate technologies. f) Management Framework- Develop management framework for collection centers, cold storages etc. |
