Brief Description of Assignment
The main objective of the feasibility study is to provide evidence to plan, design, cost the investment project titled, “Export Competitiveness of Agro-Products and Diversified Jute Goods (ECAJ) of Bangladesh”. The specific objectives are:
a) To Map the current situation of export competitiveness of agro-products and Diversified Jute Goods;
b) To Recommend the actions to be undertaken to enhance the export competitiveness of agro-products with special emphasis on jute and jute finished products;
c) To Recommend the institutional arrangements and infrastructural requirements to enhance export competitiveness of these products;
d) To cost the project components efficiently to optimize the investments in bringing out the best possible results;
e) To device the project’s component-wise output and outcome matrix or result matrix;
f) To device the monitoring and evaluation mechanism of the project activities; and
g) To indicate the sustainability instruments required for operating the project outputs and outcomes;
h) To prepare the Preliminary Development Project Proforma (PDPP) on the ECAJ project to be sent to ERD;
i) To prepare the Development Project Proforma (DPP) on the ECAJ project for final approval;
j) To prepare the Draft 20-year Master Plan by incorporating the project components in order to sustain the export competitiveness of agricultural products project interventions by keeping the Vision 2041 in the centre of focus;

Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required of firm
• Reputed Bangladeshi Research Firm with at least 10 years of experience in conducting high standard research at home and abroad;
• It should have necessary Management capacity (documents describing similar assignments, experience, availability of appropriated professionals and and resources to carry out the tasks);
• It should have In-depth knowledge and understanding of Agriculture and Agro-Processing (including Jute Sub-Sector), Livestock and Fisheries Sector;
• The firm should have updated audit reports for last three years;
• The firm should have Valid Trade Licence, Income Tax and VAT certificates;
• Should have highest standards of organizational integrity;
• Should have financial solvency;
• The Firm should have experience of awarding at least one research contract from the government sector worth 1.00 (One) crore taka; |
