Out of Pocket (OOP) payments on health care was 64% in 2012. Bangladesh government has introduced Healthcare Financing Strategy (HCFS) 2012-2032 with a view to reducing OOP by half i.e. 32% by 2032. But with the passage of time, the OOP payment is getting higher. Now, OOP payment is 67% which is the highest in SAARC countries. Although the main objective of HCFS is to find out potential alternative ways of health financing (e.g. health insurance), less than 1% people of Bangladesh are under health insurance coverage. To explore the bottlenecks for lower health insurance coverage and potential solutions, it is necessary to conduct the study titled “Health Insurance in Bangladesh: Perception and Experience of People having Insurance”. |

To be selected, the organization must have the following:
• Familiarity with the health, nutrition, and population sector program
• Extensive expertise on healthcare related exercise
• Proven ability to manage and conduct large data set
• Expertise in use of STATA/SPSS statistical software for data analysis
• Proven expertise in quality report writing & policy recommendations in English
Knowledge and experience on country’s health financing particularly health insurance will be considered as added value.
