The Database Expert will set up a relational database management system (RDBMS), support the field data collection, processing and analysis, also provide training to the national personnel, planning and implementing the activities in connection with the NFI (National Forest Inventory) Unit and RIMS (Resource Information Management System) Unit |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |
: |
- At least 6 years of relevant and progressively responsible experience in the Information Technology field or Database administrator;
- Competence in information system development and information management;
- Experience in operating databases on web-based information systems and PostgreSQL
- Experiences in Forest dataset creation and management will be an advantage
- Experience in providing technical training on database management including data collection, archiving and developing training materials and manuals;
- Good knowledge of the MS Office applications, Internet and office technology equipment;
- Advanced proficiency in both spoken and written English and Bengali
