INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT
|
| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
Construction supervision, monitoring, and evaluation with a view to ensure the quality of construction maintaining specific time schedule. It is to be implemented under the project "Further Development of Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology". The consultancy services include the following tasks:
i) Full time construction supervision of all civil works Under the project and assist DUET to execute contract administration;
ii) Monitoring works progress and assist DUET taking actions required for timely completion of works;
iii) Verifying contractor’s work statements and recommend issuing payment certificates;
iv) Review and modify design, drawing, specification, cost etc, when necessary, as per request from DUET; and
v) Preparation of an Operation and Maintenance Manu for the construction work keeping safe work environment in mind;
vi) Preparation of weekly and monthly report as per format prescribed by the office of Project Director.
vii) Preparation of as-built design and drawing of each components of the project.
Construction Supervision include:
i) Proposed 10-Storied Foundation of a Male Student Hall at new campus m. The area of each floor will be 1300 sqm.
ii) Proposed 12- storied Foundation of an Academic Building at Second Campus for new institutes and departments with construction up to 6th floor. The area of each floor is 2000 sqm.,
iii) 4-storied Laboratory Building (12- storied Foundation) for new institutes and departments. The area of each floor will be 1000 sqm.
iv) 9-storied ICT incubator (12- storied Foundation) at new campus. The area of each floor will be 2000sqm.
v) 7-storied Academic Building (12- storied Foundation) at new campus. The area of each floor will be 2000sqm.
vi) Over head tank and sub-station building at new campus.
vii) Conducting supervision during implementation of the projects.
viii) Scope of the works could be varied on the basis of requirement. |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

Interested Consulting firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the same. Brochures, description of similar assignment & experience certificate have to be submitted. The documents will also include: i) valid Trade License, VAT registration, up-to-date income tax clearance certificate, Bank solvency certificate, list of qualified personnel etc. to be submitted by the Consulting firm.
The EOI will be reviewed on the basis of the following:
i) Registration of firm, ii) Available of key professionals, iii) Qualifications and experience of the team leader and leader of individual discipline; iv) Availability of resources, v) Turnover of the consulting firm, vi) Experience of the firm in similar works with respective certificate from employer, vii) Experience of the firms(s) in other works, viii) Agreement of JV where necessary.
i) The Consulting firm must have a minimum 05 (five) years' experience in design and supervision;
ii) The firm should have experience in Construction Supervision of similar type of structure with detail description;
iii) Preferences will be given if the firm has experience in university related buildings construction Supervision. |
