| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The prime objective of the assignment is to prepare a comprehensive guideline for the exploration and development of conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon resources by the following scope of services:
• Undertake initiative for improvement of exploration, appraisal and field development processes of BAPEX considering the E&P industry best practice.
• Provide expertise support to finalize Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), which is applicable for E&P operations for both conventional and unconventional hydrocarbons exploration and production.
• Advise and assist in the preparation of development geology workflows.
• Advise and assist in the basin analysis, petroleum system analysis, play and prospect analysis workflows.
• Advise and assist in the generation of field development plan (FDP) and geological modeling of reservoirs.
• Advise in the analysis of pre-drill expectations and results of past exploration wells and postmortem analysis of dry wells.
• Advise in the evaluation of hydrocarbon potential of abandoned/marginal gas fields.
• Advise in the application of unconventional methods for exploration and enhancement of gas production, such as, horizontal drilling, hydraulic fracturing, shale gas, tight sand, stratigraphic play, overpressure play, deep water (turbidite) play etc.
• Train and mentor junior geologists.
• Advise in the preparation of geoscience skills portfolio, performance monitoring and human resources development planning for geoscientists.
• Prescribe to adopt Good International Petroleum Industry Practices (GIPIP), Modern Engineering Practices in petroleum exploration efficiently, safely, prudently and in an environmentally sustainable manner.
To address the above mentioned challenges BAPEX is seeking for a highly qualified Local Consulting Firm. After the completion of assignment the consulting firm will submit a Final Comprehensive Report.

The Consulting Firm should have at least 10 years of experience in the field of above mentioned scope of services.
Interested consulting firms are invited to provide following information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services.
a) Registration of firms b) Background of the firm(s) c) General and overall experience of the firm(s) d) Summery of similar projects undertaken e) Audited financial reports at the firm for the last 2 years. f) Nature, size, location of contracts in hands g) Number of permanent professional employees with key qualifications h) Administrative strength & financial capacity i) Types of major equipments, software, hardware used, j) In case of joint venture copy of joint venture agreement.
