| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
Under this assignment consultant will render following services (but not limited to):
i. Detailed road traffic survey/ road users survey using proper Traffic Engineering tools and techniques at different corridors of DNCC, major roads, zone wise primary road intersections, zone wise secondary road intersections, etc.
ii. Preparation of detailed geometric design, drawings, estimates of intersections at different locations of DNCC.
iii. Preparation of detailed design, drawings, estimates of foot over bridges/ under pass/ passenger sheds/ bus stops on the basis of the road users / pedestrian survey with forecast.
iv. Preparation of detailed design, drawings, estimates of traffic signals at different intersections of DNCC.
v. Preparation of detailed design, drawings, estimates of road surface marking, road intersection marking, traffic signs, and supervision of works.
vi. Preparation of detailed design, drawings, estimates of cycle lanes at different areas of DNCC.
vii. Preparation of detailed design, drawings, estimates of installation, operation and maintenance of congestion pricing systems at different locations of DNCC.
viii. Creation of public awareness on road traffic safety. |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

The consulting firm shall have a general experience of at least 5 (five) years and practical experience with proven assignment record in traffic survey, situation analysis, forecasting, geometric design of roads, road dividers, road islands, intersections, traffic signals, foot over bridges, etc. and preparation of design, drawings, estimates of above traffic structures etc, of similar type of structures as mentioned above at different locations in our country or abroad. The EOI shall be evaluated on the basis of the following documents:
1. Registration of firm.
2. Age of the firm (years in relevant business).
3. Availability of the key professionals for conducting similar type of assignments.
4. Financial resources of the consulting firm (Turnover of last five years) supported by audit report for the last 3 (three) years.
5. Experience of the firm in similar task/assignments (example of past experience of similar nature and for complexity including cost and duration of the assignment).
6. Experience of the firm in other works (example of past experience of similar nature and for complexity including cost and duration of the assignment).
7. Support services of the firm (office space, supporting staff, and equipment).
8. Financial statement supported by audit report for the last 3 (three) years. |

a) Interested firms shall submit expression of interest (EOI) to the DNCC within the given time frame. The EOI’s will be evaluated according to the provisions of the PPR- 2008 Guidelines.
b) In a case where more than one firm forming a consortium to enhance their qualifications, the lead firm should submit the EOI. They should outline the rationale for the proposed consortium, and describe how the work will be coordinated; managed, and quality control assured. They should have proven track records of management and financial solvency. |
