| Brief Description of Assignment |

S-10: Hydrogeologist:• Supervise and guide works in determining the nature, extent and location of water supply infrastructures;• Formulate and support implementation of plan for appropriate sources of water;• Investigation, identification and installation related to hydrogeology for water supply schemes; • Study the records of existing operational production tube wells (PTW), especially bore logs and water quality to obtain insight into the aquifer conditions with TA Firm for effective long-term utilization of aquifers;• Supervise and guide preparation of reports and provide guidance for drilling new wells considering location, depth, design, operation and maintenance and water quality (O&M); • Review and evaluate all arsenic mitigation measures in place and supervise the execution of specific studies such as aquifer characterization, water quality monitoring and surveillance and recharging of deeper aquifer; Provide necessary data/info/recommendations to the PMU/local DPHE for drilling proposed PTWs in the scheme areas. S-03: Jr. Procurement Consultant:• Assist in preparation of drafts to Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI), Invitation for Bids (IFB), Invitation for Prequalification (IFP), Bidding Document, Prequalification Document (PQD), Request for Proposals (RFP) and Pre-Bid Meeting Minutes as per World Bank Procurement Regulations;• Assist in preparing TORs and associated documents for other consultants, as appropriate;• Assist in preparation of quarterly report on procurement status and procurement risk mitigation framework and arrange submission of the same to IDA for review.

| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

S-10: Hydrogeologist:• Master’s degree in geology or hydrogeology or in a relevant field. A higher degree in relevant subject will be preferred.• A minimum of 10 years’ experience and proven track record in relevant areas;• Expertise shall include groundwater assessment studies, construction of site-specific/regional lithological and hydrogeological stratigraphy, aquifer characterization, geophysical borehole logging, hydro-chemical data analysis, well design, pumping induced changes in aquifers, and groundwater usage for public water supply systems in Bangladesh;• Familiarity with the National Water Supply and Sanitation Projects, National Water Policy (NWP), National Environmental Acts/Rules/guidelines; knowledge of World Bank Environment Management Framework (EMF) will be an added advantage;• Ability to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) or Limited Environmental Assessment (LEA) and prepare Environmental Management Plan to comply with World Bank requirements;• Experience in working with water supply related NGOs/organizations;• Ability to handle multidisciplinary data and to prepare database;• Communication skills for dealing with donors and inter-departmental agencies;• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment; S-03: Jr. Procurement Consultant:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ economics/ statistics/ finance/ business administration/ management/ procurement / law or similar discipline;• Minimum 3 years of working experience in private or public sector as junior procurement consultant/specialist position. Working experience in public sector will be added advantage;• Must have sound understanding of national procurement law and development partner’s procurement guidelines/regulations;• Age must be within 55 years.
