| Brief Description of Assignment |

Manikganj Palli Bidyut Samity Service area consists of Manikgonj sadar, Daulatpur, Ghior, Harirampur, Sibalaya, Saturia & Singair upazillas. The objective of the PBS is to provide electric power and energy to each village located within its geographical/service area for irrigation pumping, food processing, cottage industries and other small or big industries, commercial centers, health and social services and family dwellings. This objective is to be achieved through the Area Coverage Rural Electrification (ACRE) concept by construction, operating and maintaining lines up to 33Kv, extending lines from existing distribution system. Each potential consumer within the PBS service area may become a member of the PBS, the membership being obtained by application and payment of nominal subscription fee. Providing electric power & energy to its consumer- members at the lowest cost possible consistent with sound economy and good management is a prime prerequisite of the PBS.
The scope of the consultancy services area :
1) Field investigation, load data collection & Re-Design of distribution system.
2) Design, Staking and Supervision of new lines and Sub-Station, BPDB/others electrical utilities taken over lines and Sub-station and preparation of bill of materials of these.
3) Inventory of PBS/BPDB existing line.
4) Preparation of work plan for Taken over line.
5) Updating key map & Detail map and As-Built single line operational diagram.
6) Maintenance, planning and design.
7) Preparation of As-Built Staking sheet and close out documents for lines & Sub-stations.
8) Preparation of study report (System Loss, sectionalizing, power factor, voltage drop and any other study)
9) Study of Sub-station expansion/Extension/Renovation and preparation of layout foundation etc.
10) System Analysis and improvement of it.
11) Design of Rive crossing Tower/Switching Station.
12) Others as Required.

1. The Consulting Firms must have at least 5 years experience in Electrical Consulting services of distribution system and have a full complement of staff that will be capable of doing the work.
2. The firm must have financial capability to handle the services activities of the similar activities and turn over of similar activities are at least 20 lacs in last 05 (Five) years.
3. Manikganj Palli Bidyut Samity now invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from eligible Consulting firm/Consortium (National) for PBS to indicate their interests in providing the services. Interested consulting firms must provide following information:

Expression of Interest (EOI) must be submitted in Three sets (one original set and two sets of photo copy) in hard copy on or before the specified date & time to the office of undersigned, & be clearly marked ‘’ Request for expressions of Interest(EOI) mentioning the name of the PBS. The proposals (application) will be opened on 15/07/2018 at 12:30 PM (BST) in presence of the representatives of the EOI applicant (if any). Short listing will be made in accordance with the ‘’Public procurement Regulation (PPR-2008)”.
Interested consulting firms may obtain further information regarding the Assignment from the address stated below during 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Saturday To Wednesday and 9.00 am to 2.00 pm on Thursday.
